Kelly and Frito (RIP)

I just learned today that one of Frito's neighbors and doggie friends, Kelly, had to be put to sleep.

They were good buddies, as you can see in this picture from 2007.

Maybe Frito and Kelly's spirits are now prancing around together.  At least they are in my mind.

Rest in Peace you two.  You were both great companions to your families and each other.

Tug-o-war

He's flying

Frito's flying along a snow-packed trail.

And if you look closely, I believe he actually is flying through the air ;-)

Frito loved to run in any weather.

This was a wedding quilt that Carol made for my 2nd cousin Jessica and TJ.

And so lucky for them, it is not only handmade, but Frito approved!

Play boney, anyone?

It also seems Frito must have recently been in the doctor's office for a blood draw according to his left paw fur being shaved.

Guess that didn't pose too much difficulty for him.

Prancing in the snow

Someone's looking pretty happy running through the snow.

In fact, I'd say he's prancing.

Happy Labor Day

After being out in the snow, Frito liked to come inside take advantage of our southerly windows.

Lying on the warm tiled floor, soaking up some rays.

Sounds like a good plan on a holiday weekend, donchu think?

Running through the snow

Sometimes you just have to blaze your own trail in the new snow.

Frito was quite the adventurer, when it came to powder snow.

It's starting to get pretty long here.
