A tradition started long ago when Alli went on travel and was missing her dog, Frito. I would e-mail her a picture a day. Now we have a blog to share with each other, and the world. Hope you find them interesting. By the way ... does your dog have a blog?

Looks like he did it again ...
That's right -- he ran another marathon. This time in lovely Lucerne, Switzerland (and I got to come along!)
Here's Alpha at the start. Notice how he is smiling, seemingly oblivious to the upcoming 42.195 km (hey, we're in Europe donchaknow).
Well now take a look at him. He'll be lucky to beat that guy. Only about a mile more to the finish line now.
And how did Alpha do? Well, his goal was to break 4 hours. And he did it -- he ran in 3:54, which was 17 minutes faster than his previous PR and 21 minutes faster than his last marathon. So I'd say a hearty woo-hoo is in order. That's my alpha ;-)

Alpha is amazing that's for sure! We all know you would be right by his side if it weren't for those artificial ligaments of yours =)
Alli, did you see in the news recently -- they just concluded that Oscar Pistorius had an *advantage* running with artificial limbs. Really, its true. Check it out (granted, this is sprinting, not distance): http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/11/091117184539.htm
So you never know: my artificial ligaments might just be all the extra help I need ;-) What do you think, should I start my training with Alpha?
Alpha is still looking pretty fresh after 25+ miles!
Yeah. Fresh. Like freshly ground hamburger, I'd say (hee, hee).
