A tradition started long ago when Alli went on travel and was missing her dog, Frito. I would e-mail her a picture a day. Now we have a blog to share with each other, and the world. Hope you find them interesting. By the way ... does your dog have a blog?

Greg and Frito play ball
Greg first has to extract said ball from Frito's chompers.
And what a catch. Holy smokes!
Looks like it was cleanly fielded by the furry four-legged outfielder.
And Frito is running it all the way back to home base.
And now he rests. What a play!

Alli and Ying
Someone's been slacking.
No, not Alli or Ying (from Nova Scotia college days - 2007).
But Alpha, 'cause he was on vacation with Mom and Cynthia.
And they forgot about Frito-a-Day.
Never worry -- I'll fill in all the missed days -- just go back and check them out.

Brother Greg
More like "Hey Bro', nice hat".
Greg and Frito were always playing when they were together.
Or Greg was getting doggie lip smackers.

Frito's little buddy
Aww look. It's Pedro Coffey.
What a cutie pie!
All of a sudden I feel like some Taco Bell food, donchu?

Rocky
As in I'm up on a rocky ledge on top of a mountain.
And Frito's hanging with his buddy Dan. Godfather actually.
On Pack Monadnock if I remember correctly.

Frito could swing both ways
With his tongue I mean.
Yep, definitely ambidextrous.
Try that in your spelling bee (Alpha failed ;-)

The Yawn
Such a big yawn.
Such a long yawn.
A really, really, long yawn.
Man, oh man, Frito must be a really tired poochie.

Sissy boy
You might call Frito a sissy boy in this outfit.
But Frito was secure in his masculinity.
Mom, on the other hand, got rid of the coat ;-)

Let's hear it for wood floors
After all, Frito liked them.
They were warmer than tile.
And maybe you can see his little claw marks -- at least he got some grip on them.
And more forgiving when someone drops him nosie first.
Not a cat, that's for sure ;-)

Huggin' Frito
Everything hugging Frito is red, including Mom's face.
Must have been a little chilly.
Or Alpha messed up the photo colors ;-)

Ready to rumble
Here's Frito poking his head through the jailhouse bars, ready to rumble.
Or maybe he's just looking down from the stairs at Wilkins Rd.
Whatever.

Snow bound
Frito is either bounding through the snow ...
Or he's snow bound.
Either way, he always loved playing in the snow.

Kelly and Frito (RIP)
I just learned today that one of Frito's neighbors and doggie friends, Kelly, had to be put to sleep.
They were good buddies, as you can see in this picture from 2007.
Rest in Peace you two. You were both great companions to your families and each other.
Tug-o-war
Welcome to the many faces of tug-o-war.
First we have the standard, "I got it, you don't"
Next we have the "Ears-a-flyin'."
And finally, "give it to me or I'll bite your hand"
Always needed to be on the look-out for this last one ;-)

Clean cut
Doesn't even look like the same dog.
He was always so soft and huggable right after getting one of his short haircuts.
Such a cutie pie.

Ears back ...
Carol always got a kick out of putting sweaters on Frito.
Frito may not have been amused, but he was a good trooper.
