A tradition started long ago when Alli went on travel and was missing her dog, Frito. I would e-mail her a picture a day. Now we have a blog to share with each other, and the world. Hope you find them interesting. By the way ... does your dog have a blog?

On top of the Zugspitze
OK, this is cool. Here we are on the highest mountain in all of Germany -- the Zugspitze. That's Alpha, Mom, Alli and her friend Cheryl (plus moi of course). The Zugspitze is a little under 10,000 feet tall.
It was a gorgeous day, and we stayed up there for a while. We took their cog railway up to a lower summit, and then a cable car to the top. Doncha worry -- I'll show more pictures soon.

Very clever John (given we were right on the German-Austria border).
However, the hills were not alive, they were frozen. This was high!
zugspitze? sound like something mork would say zug spize
It was kind of weird to be standing in the snow in June! But what a beautiful clear day.
Ya see the things your family will do to keep you out of the heat!
