A tradition started long ago when Alli went on travel and was missing her dog, Frito. I would e-mail her a picture a day. Now we have a blog to share with each other, and the world. Hope you find them interesting. By the way ... does your dog have a blog?

In Alli's arms
It doesn't get any better than this -- lying in Alli's arms.
Well, actually, it does get a little better as soon as Alpha puts the camera away ;-)

Too fast

And now for the dramatic conclusion ...
Bummer. Missed him by that much. Perhaps you can see the green blurry streak jumping away from me to my left.
I tell you -- these frogs are hard to catch. For which my family is very thankful.
I take a somewhat philosophical approach - "que sera, sera" - and really just enjoy the game and the swimming.

Gone Froggin'
This here's a mighty bullfrog in our little frog pond. He is sitting in a bunch of pond weed. That's where they like to hide out. They think this camoflages them, but I've been around the pond a few times, and am pretty wise to their ways
This is where I come in. Here you see me entering the pond weed area. If I move very slowly, the frog won't notice me. I am very stealthy. As I said, I've been doing this for many years now.
Look how close I am now. Obviously, he has been caught off guard. This is looking to be a good froggin' day. Just wait until you see the next photo.
Oh wait -- it seems Alpha wants to turn this into a "cliff-hanger" episode on Frito-a-Day, so y'all have to come back tomorrow and see the outcome of my froggin' adventures. Hey, don't blame me. Blame Alpha.

Who is that masked man?
Well would you take a look at that!! Who is that masked man?
Oh, I know, it's my Bro' Greg in his new motorcycle get-up. Say what?
Yep, that's right, my Bro' just bought himself a new-to-him 2003 Kawasaki Ninja 500R motorcycle -- a style affectionately known as a "crotch rocket".
See, I even get a chance to sit on it. Hey Greg, can you rig up a puppy seat on this thing?
There he goes -- he's off to enjoy a beautiful day. And so, in the immortal words of some random TV announcer, "who was that masked man?"

Running
Here I am running around the pond. You know, try to catch some frogs -- or at least make them jump into the pond.
But do you know who else is running? That's right: Alpha. And I get to run with him on his short training runs.
But today Alpha is running in a race. Not because he is fast (thankfully, he is not ;-)
But because it is part of his training plan. I guess so he can see what a race is all about (this is is first one). Eventually, he wants to run in a marathon (hee-hee).
Oh well, let's all wish him luck!

Not so hard
Hey, this bi-ped thing is not so hard. Look, I can even do it in the water. If that's what distinguishes you humans, I'm not that impressed ;-)
Wanna know what else is not that hard?
Bloggin'. Frito-a-Day now has over 500 posts. A-woo, a-hoo!
And there will be a test on all of them shortly -- better study ;-)

Happy Alpha Day
OK, I'll admit it. There is something a little wierd about Alpha helping me with this post. (Something my bro' has noted is even a little "creepy".)
But hey, ya gotta do whacha gotta do.
And besides, we HAVE to be nice. It's Alpha's Day today!
(OBTW Alpha, it looks like you got the Papa-thing going on with the eyes there. Good luck with that ;-)

In Alpha's arms
Once again, the command chair shows its power.
Oh yes, I mentioned there was a story before. Well, you see, Nana (Alpha's mom) was sick a while back, and they purchased this chair for her living room in Florida. She would spend most of the day reclined in it, and whenever she needed anything, she would holler for one of her children to get it. So they (affectionately) called it the "command" chair.
Anyways ... this time -- I'm really rather tired, and just want to sleep, right in Alpha's arms.
Ahhh, the live of a well-loved pooch.

Finger-lickin' good
Perhaps you can recognize the chair -- yes, it is the Frito magnet -- the command chair.
And you can also see that Alli was employing some tasty fingers to ensure my affection and attention. I can't remember what was on them, but yummm.
Actually, sometimes, I just like to share my personal grooming habits. You humans should really give it a try ;-)

The Command Chair
Alpha calls this "the command chair". (There's a story there, but I'll save it for another time.) It is up at the cottage, and is one of my favorite places to spend my evenings when I'm there.
Actually, I like it even better whenever someone else is sitting in it. I immediately will come over and either jump up myself, or ask to be boosted. Then I snuggle up right between their legs.
Doesn't matter who -- there's just something about this chair.

Modeling
Well, it's me and Alli again, modeling.
But do you know what we are modeling?
We are modeling the new deck stairs that Alpha built. That's right -- the deck is getting a makeover, and these are brand new.
He says the stairs are the most difficult part. I think he's kinda proud of them, so we're here to stroke his ego a little ;-)
See, he even made me do it alone (sitting on the cool base step Alpha and Mom set in place):

My Girl
And here she is. I was just so excited to see Alli when she came home. Alpha was away on a business trip, so the reunion photo had to wait a couple of days. But, that's her -- my girl!
And so ... in the immortal words of The Temptations (almost):
I've got sunshine
On a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside,
I've got the month of May.
Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl. (That's Alli, that's Alli)
Talkin' 'bout my girl. (My girl)
I've got so much honey
The bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song
Than the birds in the trees.
Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl. (That's Alli, that's Alli)
Talkin' 'bout my girl. (My girl)
Ooooh, Hoooo.
Hey, hey, hey.
Hey, hey, hey.
I don't need no money,
Fortune or fame.
I've got all the treats, baby,
One dog can claim.
Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl. (That's Alli, that's Alli)
Talkin' 'bout my girl. (My girl)
Talkin' bout my girl.
I've got sushine on cloudy day
With my girl.
I've even got the month of May (and June and maybe July and August)
With my girl.
