A tradition started long ago when Alli went on travel and was missing her dog, Frito. I would e-mail her a picture a day. Now we have a blog to share with each other, and the world. Hope you find them interesting. By the way ... does your dog have a blog?

Can you do this?
OK, while we are waiting for Alpha to come home (actually, he'll be gone for a while), I'm reduced to performing stupid dog tricks.
So -- can you do this?

Cool step
Oh, I'm pretty clever. Did you get it? The double entendre?
You see, it was a very hot day, and Mom had just watered the plants (plus this neat rock step).
Plus look at the all those ferns. Cool, huh?
So now you get it, the water had "cooled down" the step.
OK, note to self -- never explain the jokes -- now I understand.
==== break, break ====
Alpha wants you all to know that he'll be backpacking for 5 days and so, that means, no Frito-a-Day updates for a while. But he promises me that he will back fill all those missing days. Hey, we have a reputation to live up to ya know ;-)

Electric Frito
OK, speaking of a blur! Has Alpha run out of good photos or something?
Naaah! (Well, maybe.)
I'm sure he just thought this one was cool. He's on a plane right now, and that usually means only one thing. He's getting in touch with his creative/artsy side ;-)
All I can say is to have patience. That's how the rest of the family survives (hee, hee).

Where have all the kibbles gone?
Sometimes eating my supper reminds me of an old anti-war song (hey, I get around ya know).
You might be able to remember the tune ("Where have all the flowers gone", by Pete Seeger):
Where have all the kibbles gone
So quickly eaten
Where have all the kibbles gone
It wasn't long ago
Where have all the kibbles gone
I just scarfed them, every one
Oh, when will I ever learn
Can't have your supper and eat it too

Say -- what's this?
Oh, I remember. It's an acorn. I used to get these all the time when I was a pup. Mom and Alpha would throw them down the street and I'd chase after them, zigging and zagging, and then leap into the air to catch them.
And then I'd chomp on them to get at the nut.
But alas, this game had to stop after I had my first cruciate ligament blow-out. One time, I guess I zigged when I should have zagged :-( That was a bummer.
Sure does bring back some fun memories, though.

Visiting and waiting
We were visiting the neighbors the other day. I was glad to come along, since I'm becoming more and more friendly with their dog Hunter.
But Hunter was being a little less-well-behaved, and so was put back inside. As you can see, I really wanted Hunter to come out and play with me.
So here I am, just waiting. I'm such a good boy!

Doin' the wave
Check this out -- a little body surfing in my own frog pond.
You see, the way it happens is I run around the outside and try to smoke them out of crack and crevices.
Then if I find one, they typically leap into the pond to head to safety. And of course, I try to follow them! Splash!!!!
Sometimes I come up coughing, having swallowed not the frog but some pond water.
This is the risk one takes for a little wave action.

King of Siam
At the cottage, we went out for a couple of canoe rides. As you may have noticed in earlier posts, I like to have a view of the water, and so usually climb up in someone's lap. Which can make for some challenging paddling.
So Alpha rigged up this royal seat for me. Whadya think? If you ask me ... "I'm the King of Siam, I am, I am" (with no disrespect intended to the wonderful people of Thailand ;-)
Yep, living large on Tucker Pond. Woo hoo!

Sacked out
This represents the rest of my labor day weekend -- happily just "sacked out" and recovering from the road trip. This photo, however, is actually from that swanky hotel. You can see how luxurious I think that poofy bed is!
And after being awakened by Alpha and his camera flash, this photo is called ... "that's Mr. Chihauhau Ear to you!" Haha!

Happy Labor Day
Whew, it's been a busy weekend! First a road trip to help move my bro', then seeing my girl off at the airport so she could go back to school, and now some down-time at the cottage. I guess this means it's the end of unofficial summer.
Oh well, not much left to do than just chill out at the cottage. It's a very relaxing spot. And it provides a good rest spot for the laborers.

Au Revoir
Well, it seems all good things must come to an end (hey, am I a Buddhist or what?). And in this case, my girl has to go back to college. Actually, I've been very lucky -- she wasn't planning to be home for the summer. So I got to spend a lot of time with her.
Have fun at school Alli. I'll miss you bunches and bunches. But don't worry about me -- I really do have Mom and Alpha wrapped around my little paw.
Until we see each other again ... au revoir mon cheri.
Road trip!
Well, I got to go on a road trip up to Montreal -- woohoo! The family was helping my bro' move apartments. His new place is cool (in a funky, student, crash-pad sort of way ;-) and it is very close to this great park.
I also go to stay in this really swanky hotel. Yes, they really allow pets (at least small dogs), so my parents didn't have to smuggle me in or nothin'.
And check out my bed! Well, I'm willing to share it. But ooooh, now that is luxurious!
There was a cool walking area right across from the hotel. And outside was this statue of some dude named Jean Paul. See how Alpha made it look like he was walking me? Such a kidder ;-)
Another cool thing about Montreal is that they have really big, and really stupid, squirrels. You would not believe how close I got to snacking on them. Darn that leash ;-)
