Cozy in a kayak

Frito was such a mariner.  He liked any kind of watercraft.

Even a somewhat unstable kayak, with just an itty, bitty cockpit.

Frito was such a buddy, and loved to be out on Tucker Pond.

Out Kayaking

Well, you've seen me canoeing and kayaking before, but now -- I have my own personal seat!

See, Alpha made this out of a couple of swimming kick boards. Now it's easy for me to go all around the pond when ever someone wants to take out a kayak. Woo-hoo.

It does get a little toasty in the full sun, though. So if the wind isn't really rustling my hair, you may have to get me home soon, so I can dive off my seat and take a swim to cool off.

You've perhaps heard of "On Golden Pond". Well, this is celebrating the 4th of July "On Tucker Pond". And yes, it is just as bucolic. (Little fun fact: did you know that "Golden Pond" was actually filmed on Squam Lake, and is not that far from here.)

Anyways ... you can see that I got to go out for a canoe ride with Mom and Alpha. I like to actually sit in someone's lap (prefereably Mom's) which tends to make the paddling a bit more challenging. But hey, we're not in a race here. Just trying to soak up the sun, and the beautiful setting.

Oh, and where is Alli? Well, she's out in the kayak, of course (and the photographer for this fine photo ;-).
