Wanna play? (2007)

Frito was quite the athlete.

He loved to chase tennis balls and frisbees.

And he was a good retriever, too.

Though in a situation like this, he also liked to play "I can grab the ball before you can."

So we usually had two toys going at the same time, so we could focus on the retrieving and excersie, rather than the "keep-away" game.

And that would work until we tuckered the little guy out.

Playin' with Greg

Greg can be such a meanie. Look at how he just torments me with my own boney!

Come on Greg, you have to play fair.

Ha ha, in the end, I got it, nah na nah na

Hey Alpha, can we play?

Hey Alpha, can we play? Can we, huh? huh? Oh pleeeeeeease?

You see, Alpha is very considerate. When I ask really nice like this, he usually comes through.

Here, let me show you what I mean (Alli did say she wanted more movies, right?):

Dangling Participle

"Frito was playing with Alpha, while dangling in the air." (So exactly who was dangling? Get it?)

I was never much for English grammar (after all, I AM a dog! ;-)

But clearly you can see *me* dangling here. It could have been titled "dangling Frito", but then Alli might get worried ;-)

And just to make sure she isn't, I thought I would follow up with one more movie.

Just because Alli asked for it!

Who can refuse this face? Those eyes?

I even brought you a play toy. All you have to do is pick it up and hold on.

I'll do the rest. It will be fun. Come on, come on, pick it up already!

Just a blur

This is one of my girlfriends (now, nobody get jealous, OK?).

Kelly is a border collie who usually tries to herd me, but not this time -- I'm just too fast, nothing but a blur, in fact.

Ha ha, I just love to play!

Visiting and waiting

We were visiting the neighbors the other day. I was glad to come along, since I'm becoming more and more friendly with their dog Hunter.

But Hunter was being a little less-well-behaved, and so was put back inside. As you can see, I really wanted Hunter to come out and play with me.


So here I am, just waiting. I'm such a good boy!

Respite

After a nice game of keep away, when I get a little tired, I just take my ball and head under the table. That way they can't steal it from me. But, alas, Alpha's camera can still find me. Oh well, it's hard to keep a cute dog hidden ;-)
