Happy Independence Day!

How's this for showing off my independence?

I can still outrun Alpha (by a lot) and I'm 84 dog-years old!  Listen to how winded he sounds.

It's been a couple weeks since I ran like this, and truth-be-told I'm facing more health challenges today ...

But that's pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

An indoor runway too

And I don't confine my running to outdoors -- indoor is just fine and dandy for me too!

In fact, this is my new routine after a bath.  I used to go rollin', rollin', rollin' on a towel.

Now I just take off like a banshee and run back and forth, bouncing off one or more sofas.

Alpha has no idea what is going on with me, and I kinda like it that way (hee, hee).

After walking around the garden (Alpha was not quick enough to capture that on film), I decided to run like a banshee.

Ha, ha, no one can catch me!

Listen up people!

This is Alpha telling you exactly how sorry he is for slacking recently.

He also says he's not going to do it again (yeah, right).

And finally, he says to make it up to you all, he is going to post a bunch of movie clips for the missed days -- so scroll on down and have a look.

And what am *I* saying? Well, I though that should be obvious. I'm teaching him how to say it in dogspeak (hee, hee).

Frito kicks in the new year

Happy New Year to all my peeps (hee, hee). I like to kick in the New Year with a bang. Pretty impressive, eh? OK, so I'm just kidding.

Frito goes to the beach

Two quick movies for you when I went to Los Angeles, and got to run with Alpha on the beach.

It was a lot of fun. And much warmer than the snow wonderland we have in Germany right now ;-)

Hey, just like you guys scarfing down Xmas dinner, here I am working extra hard to finish off a boney bit. Yummmmm!

Merry Xmas everybody. Since Alpha took the holidays off, he's doing a retropsective of some never-before-seen movie clips.

Baaah, Baaah

So here we are in the fall, walking over to our normal field walk. And look what we come across.

Over night, someone put up some temporary electric fencing, and moved a whole herd of sheep into one of the fields near our house.

They're pretty cute. They'll mow down this field before nightfall, and probably be outta here tomorrow. Fun to see them every fall as they move through our town.

Leaves fallin'

OK, check this movie out. During a nice walk on our woodland trails, we come across a runner out for a jog (great day for that), and this little "leaf storm".

You know, it's kinda like a snow storm, but with leaves ;-)

And let me tell you, I'll take leaves over snow anyday. Oh, unless I have to rake them. But since I don't have opposable thumbs ... not my problem! (Hee, hee)

Early Winter Wonderland

Well, will you look at that! We certainly have our own wintery wonderland. But I'm thinking this is just a wee-bit early ;-) This snowfall actually occurred on the day after Thanksgiving.

There's quite a bit of snow here. But that's no problem for me. I just need to engage my 4-paw drive system, after leaving the trail for some primo sniffing opportunities.

I'm so dizzy

Hey, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all have a great turkey day (or tofurky day, or in my parent's case, nice Indian vegan dinner, hee, hee).

So check out this photo. Makes me dizzy just looking at it. Don't ask Alpha how he captured it, because it was just a fluke. But it's kinda neat.

And here's what the woods are like where we were walking that day. All the leaves had just recently come down, and it's rather loud walking through them. And with Alpha's, ahem, great movie skills, I expect this short movie may make you dizzy as well.

A walk through the fields

So here I am hunting molies. You know, those vicious critters that tunnel through the earth and leave piles of dirt at their entry points. I can often smell them with my super-sensitive sniffer, and I wait, ready to pounce.

But, sad to say, I have yet to get one.

Anyways, you'll get a nice panorama of the fields near our house. It's really a great place to walk when the weather is warm and the sun is shining.

Which means that's a rare event ;-) Ha, ha, just kidding (well, maybe not with winter coming soon).

Charlie and the Rugrats

Hey, welcome back to 2010. That was a fun trip down memory lane. And to ease you back into it, I thought I'd mix up a recent movie with a little nostalgia.

You've heard of "Bennie and the Jets," right?

Well, this is completely different (LOL). This is "Charlie and the Rugrats."

Charlie is a neighbor of mine, and the father of quite a little progeny,and we have bumped into them a couple of times on our walks.

Man, talk about a bunch of yippers! I tell ya, they give us Yorkies a bad name.

And they bring out the yipper in me too. And that's hard to do because I'm, rather perfect, donchaknow!
