Hillside walk

Has spring arrived? Did we dodge the last winter storm?

Prolly too soon to say, but I'll take this weather.

Today we went out for a walk on the hillside near our house.


Nice paved paths through the local fields.

I was really prancing on this walk -- happy dog!


But you have to keep your eyes open.

Here comes some kids biking down the hill.

They are having fun, as am I ;-)

Looks like we have a lot of territory to cover, and a nice early spring day.

Look who's got the big smile today -- it's Alli!

And that's probably because she's just so darned happy to be taking me on a walk.

Way to go, Hawaii girl. I hope you don't freeze too much ;-)


Well, at least it's not really-really cold right now.

And as you can see -- not a white Christmas for us.

Hey, ya know what? I'm totally OK with that ;-)

Just one block off our normal walking route home.

So this is our destination.

A nice walk to downtown Böblingen.


It's a really nice place to walk to.

There lots of water nearby in case I'm still thirsty.


And isn't that just a beautiful view.

Getting a hug

Awwww, look at me and Mom. I'm getting a nice hug as we walk through the fields in Böblingen.

And look at all the beautiful buttercups in the background.

Gotta love these walks (and hugs).

A walk through the fields

So here I am hunting molies. You know, those vicious critters that tunnel through the earth and leave piles of dirt at their entry points. I can often smell them with my super-sensitive sniffer, and I wait, ready to pounce.

But, sad to say, I have yet to get one.

Anyways, you'll get a nice panorama of the fields near our house. It's really a great place to walk when the weather is warm and the sun is shining.

Which means that's a rare event ;-) Ha, ha, just kidding (well, maybe not with winter coming soon).

Our town is a little weird
