Let's go skiing

Well, it looks like Alpha listened to me yesterday. Take a look what we're doing today.

Yeah, OK, so I don't actually have any skis on myself. But that would just be crazy ;-)

Once again, I am showing you exactly who is the lead dog!

Follow me Alpha, hurry up, let's get a move on. (Hee, hee)

OK, that's better!

Pfew! Alpha finally got those booties of my feet. I mean what was he thinking?!

Now I can prance around in the snow, just like a snow bunny.

Oops. Maybe too much like a snow bunny. I was sniffin' in the snow.

Oh well, not to worry, it's OK.

Hey lookee up ahead. That, there, is someone skiing in the snow. What a novel idea?

Hey guys, how come we're just out for a walk, and not doin' any skiing?

I've got pretty good four-legged cross-country ski action, wanna see?

Pretty impressive, I know. Now if someone can just find me four little snow skis and strap those on my paws.

Oh wait, if I didn't like the booties, that might not be such a great idea (hee, hee).

Skiing with Mom

Well, will you look who's on cross-country skis.

Way to go Mom. Looks like you made it through this winter. (hee, hee)

Cross-country skiing

We've had some snow this year in Böblingen, Germany. So Alpha decided to get out the cross country skis, and check it out.

For me, it's pretty much macht-nichts, since I'm walking either way (hee, hee -- threw a little German at you ;-) I just want to get outside!

And here's a very brief movie of our snowy adventure:

Let's go skiing

Well, it hasn't been such nice weather around here lately. It's been snow off and on, pretty cold, and mostly overcast every day.

As a result, I haven't been able to get any walks outside lately, 'cause the parents are not so motivated in this weather.

So I worked on them, and shamed them into taking me cross country skiing. Woo hoo!

We got to try a new trail in our town -- someplace none of us have ever been.

I really like to blaze the trail, and find all the new sniffs. Can you tell?

After a while running in the snow, my paws started to get cold. But never fear ...

Mom comes to the rescue and rubs all the snow off (and warms them up a bit).

Way to go Mom! Not only do you take care of me, you are an awesome skiier.

We had such a good time. Let's do it again -- OK guys?

Another kind of trail

Well, in addition to all of the snow-blown paths, there is another kind of trail I thought I would like to experience.

Alpha and Alli went out for a cross-country ski adventure, and they had the audacity to leave me behind! Some lame excuse about my injured paw still recovering.

So I did what all clever dogs do ... I snuck away from Mom and followed them! Ha!

Pretty easy to follow this trail ;-)

In the end, they had to bring me home because I kept wanting to go "off the trail" in search of deer scents. And that really wasn't so good for my paw.

I guess they did have a method to their madness. But hey, I had fun!
