Too hot to walk

This was one of those late summer, really beautiful days.

OK, well actually pretty hot.

And Alpha had the bright idea that we take the looooong walk.

Where there is no water.

So anywho ... let's just say my walkers stopped walking.

Actually, I told my parents to turn around.

But that was after we had covered about 4/5th of the loop.

(So that would have been a bad idea ;-)

So instead, my parents decided to carry me until we could find some water.

Wasn't that awfully nice of them?

Shaggy goes for a walk

Yep, I'm looking a little shaggy these days.

But at least I'm running and smiling!

Well, perhaps I'm looking a bit bedraggled now.

That must be because it's getting rather hot out.

But I'm not gonna complain about the nice weather.

Hey Alpha -- how about some grooming soon, 'K?

Looks a little warm

We're both looking a little bit warm. Well, that would sure be nice right-about-now ;-)

Don't worry Mom, we call that a nice "glow".

And thanks for walking me in all sorts of weather conditions.

Hot and fuzzy!

Well, we were visiting President Lincoln's birthplace in Kentucky.

And boy, let me tell you -- it's been hot and humid lately, can you tell? ;-)

But then we went to visit the spring that the Lincoln's used for drinking water, which is quite a bit below ground level.

Wow -- it as so much cooler. I just sat there with Mom and we cooled down. Phew!

Hydrate or Die

Whew boy -- it was a scorcher out there! See those big honkin' mugs behind me -- those are "Bubba Kegs" for Alpha, Mom and Alli. They keep ice water nice and cold for a long time, and my family just keeps a sippin'.

But wait? Where's MY Bubba Keg? Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I get to drink from the pond ;-)
