Good viewing from the sofa

This was one of Frito's favorite spots to sit.

High up on the leather sofa back.

He could turn around and look right out the window to see what the wildlife was up to.

He's seen lots of deer and wild turkeys, among other critters.

Assuming the position

Now Frito is all recovered from his cruciate ligament surgery.

And he is beginning a tradition.

Laying against Mom's leg on the recliner sofa.

Frito was certainly a trend setter ;-)

This is what I do when Mom's not sitting in her seat.

I steal hers.


I'm so sneaky.

And cute!

I'm not a vegan

Here I am luxuriating on my lamb's wool throw, which is on top of my leather sofa.

No problem there, for I am not a vegan.

Now my parents ...? I may have to tell them to sit on the floor (hee, hee)

I call leather

That's right, for once, Alpha's butt is not hogging the leather.

So I call it. Kinda like calling 'shotgun'.

And don't try to take it back until I'm done.

The leather is nice and cool on a hot day. Ahhhh.

Stealin' the leatha

"Hey Mom, would you get me a snack?" (hee, hee, hee)

Sure enough, there she goes -- off the sofa -- over to the kitchen to get me my snack.

So I quickly and quietly move from "my spot" in the middle of the sofa (on the white sheepskin) ...

... over to Mom's seat (aka "the leatha").

And when she comes back, do you know what I say????

Come on, dooya????

"April Fool's Day!!!!" (ha, ha, haaaaa)

My leather spot

Now this is a cool spot.

On the leather sofa, right between Mom and Alpha (when they recline), and high enough to watch the world go by outside in our back yard.

And we get some awesome critters. Deer, turkeys, grey and red squirrels, chipmunks, all sorts of birds and even bats.

Why, we've even had woodchucks, racoon, owl, fox, coyote, fisher cat, porcupine, and a small black bear.

Why this here's better than TV! Oh yeah, I can see that from here too ;-)
