It's Super-Alli ...

... and her trusty companion Fritoman.

Together they fight poopyheads where ever they might be.

How do they do it? With Fritoman's mighty slobber-tongue.

What a dynamic duo!

Super-girl and her super-pup ... are super-cute

Hippos and Frito

Uh-oh. Two of Mom's favorite things -- Hippos and Frito.

Who will she choose?

Well, perhaps the fact that the Hippos are permanently attached to the ground gives me a small advantage (hee, hee)

Now it's *my* turn for a walk

So Alpha got to run earlier today, but what about me? There's a nice lake close to the hotel (called Wießensee Lake), so my parents took me there for *my* walk.

Kinda funny though, they drove down the hill to the lake so that Alpha didn't have to walk down hill (legs too sore, hee, hee)

It was a pretty long walk all the way around, but really cool how the trail hugged the water's edge.

Now check that out -- what a cool rock "tunnel".

Ouch. That must have been hard for Alpha's quads to bend down like that. (hee, hee)

But yeah, we all made it. Way to go Mom. OK, let's head back to the hotel. We need to get ready to head back to Switzerland.

Oh yeah, and to get a massage for Alpha (hee, hee).

Marathon Dog

Say hi to the Marathon Dog.

Who? Moi? Nah, I just got to wear Alpha's medal when he (finally ;-) got home.

No, this time, Alpha's the marathon dog. As in dog-tired and dog-slow (hee, hee)

Here was Alpha at the beginning of the Königsschlösser Romantik Marathon in Füssen, Germany.

Doesn't he look so happy? If only he knew ...

So here is his first rude awakening.

Of course, you want to keep your running shoes dry -- after all, you'll be in them for 26.2 miles.

And this was at mile 5!

Oops. That would be rude awakening #2.

What the heck -- they are already wet, right?

OK, now we have a different rude awakening. That's right, Alpha had been in front of the 4:00 hour pacemaker.

But ... not any more!

He never saw that dude again ... ever ;-)

Oh look -- more water!

So this time they run a water pump and put in planks to run on.

How thoughtful (hee, hee).

Well, do you know what this all means?

It means it is time for some more photos. If you can't run fast, you might as well enjoy the views.

Oh yeah, that and the lack of adequate training and dead-tired legs.

And that view, my friends, is why we run. Beautiful church with Neuschwanstein Castle in the background.

Awesome. And Alpha at least finished the race. Just don't ask him for his time (hee, hee).

No pictures of Alpha racing you say? Well, right you are. So here are some additions from the photographers along the course:

Oh Alpha. Glad to see you really made it!

On the hillside

Here I am waiting on the hillside. Waiting for what? Well, for Mom to find a pee-stop if you must know. Shh, don't tell her I said that.

But of course Alpha has his camera, so now he is call me to come to him, so he can take pictures of me.

I'm coming, I'm coming. I like running on the hillside -- I feel like I'm in the Sound of Music ;-)

And here's what they do on this hillside. Launching pad for para-gliding (or whatever they call it). Cool.

Hilltop in Black Forest

Here I am with Mom, overlooking the Black Forest from a beautiful hilltop.

OK, enough of that -- I;m going to visit with Alpha -- here I come ...

Getting close now!

OK, tag! You're it!

Well, will you look who arrived?

After 36 hours in transit! Fortunately, she made it out of Atlanta before the nor'easter hit.

And let me tell you, am I the best welcoming party or what?

Yeah, I had to tell Alli a secret when we got home. I had to tell her how much I missed her.

After all, she's my girl!

My own German spa

Well, now, there you go. I used to get my bath in the kitchen sink. I mean, really.

Now take a look at my luxurious bath tub. And it's all mine -- those crazy humans just use the shower.

This bath was after my long, wet Volksmarch, so it felt particularly nice and warm. Just like Dara's Doggie Day Spaw.

Though Mom and Alpha don't use a blow-dryer. They just towel me off and then ...

Well, you'll see tomorrow ;-)

Would you like to see my yard?

Check this out. In my new home, I have my very own patio in the front yard. (I also have a nice backyard, but we share that with the other people who live in this house.)

There is a pretty old stone wall that I can walk along and check out the neighboring yards. We're on a hill, so this gives me a good view "looking down" on critters and visitors. Helps me with my guard dog function.

Though for some reason, Mom and Alpha keep telling me not to bark. And something about "loving my neighbors." Jeez, when did we get so religious (hee, hee)?

And so this is Christmas ...

And so this is Christmas ...
... and a Happy New Year ...
... let's hope it's a good one ...
... without any fear ...

Looking for your Christmas present? Well, look no further. Check out that sweater, and it will be clear to all that I'm Baaaaack! It's been over six months since I've been on the blogosphere. My apologies to those who checked back only to see the same old me each time. I may be cute, but I understand there are limits ;-) And thanks go to Alli who said the only thing she wanted for Christmas was to see her Frito-a-Day updated again. Aw shucks, Alli.

So what have I been up to you ask? Well ... moving over to Germany, for one thing. Yep, and I'll try to bring you up to date on my new digs, and some of the cool places we've already visited, and the miles and miles (oh wait, let's make that kilometers and kilometers) of forests paths where I get to take my walks. In the photo above you can see I am checking out some logs that the ForestMeister left along a trail.

And below, I'm visiting one of the MANY Christmas markets they have all over Germany. Check out Alpha and the hat. What's up with that?

So Merry Christmas Alli! And Merry Christmas Greg! I really miss you guys and hope you'll come visit me soon. And until then, at least send me e-mail, so Mom and Alpha can read it to me ;-)
