Pretty panorama with Mom

Don't we make a nice couple?

And so pretty in this field of dandelions and butter cups near our house.

Here I am all by myself.

Practicing being a good model.

Sit, Frito, sit -- yeah, yeah, yeah.

Check out the field behind me ... just a blur of yeller.

Woah. Did someone say it's tick season?

Get me outahere!

Some tall grass

Wow. Now *that's* some tall grass.

OK, so maybe it's wheat or barley or something farm like.

Hey, I'm a dog already.

Outstanding in my field

Awww, will you look at me.

That's right ... I'm just *out ... standing* in my field.

It's a bumper crop

I'm here to tell ya, they grow 'em big in Germany.

These guys don't like to use any weed killer.

And why should they -- just look at how pretty I am, er,I mean the dandelions.

What's that? You want me to run through the field?

OK, if you say so.

Look out, here I come.

I don't want to get stung by any bees, 'K?

Thanks, that was lots of fun.

Especially running through the dandelion fields.

Outstanding in our field ;-)

Hey, check out my girl and me in this beautiful field. I think we look pretty outstanding, don't you?

In fact, we look so good, I thought you might want to see another shot. What a great couple we make. Darn we're cute ;-)

Wonder what's over there?

So I was walking through the fields, and noticed some interesting smells over yonder. I wonder what's over there?

Only one way to find out. 'scuse me while I head off the trail.

Oops. Nothing here, and I am now in the middle of no where!

OK, well, I did make it back (quite a challenge in the crunchy snow).

Did you miss me?

Sometimes fields, sometimes woods

These volksmarches usually takes us over wide expanses of fields, which is nice during the winter, at least when it's sunny.

But other times they take us through groves of trees, which are waiting to be harvested. Man, check out that collection of future wooden beams.

These Germans sure do know how to steward their resources.

Up on the ridge

How's this for a view. Right across the street from where we live. We can see this ridge (well, not quite this point) out our living room window.

What's great about it is that it is all fields (or little garden plots), and therefore gets full sun. Which is partcularly appreciated on these cold winter days.

Waiting for Alpha

Just where the heck is that guy.

I'm pretty patient, ya know.

Pointy ears

Here I am, running over to Alpha, with my ears flopping in the breeze.

In this particular shot, they are pointing straight up, just like some people try to train dog ears to do.

Me? I'm glad that mine flop around. It gives me so much more personality, donchathink?

Shadow man

Here is Alpha playing again with his camera and the setting sun. See how it looks like his shadow is holding me up?

Alpha, you really do need to get a life ;-) But hey, when you've got such an adorable model, I guess it is understandable.

Bucolic pooch

Tell me this isn't a picturesque spot. It's a place call Burnt Hill in Warner, NH, and we love the panoramic views. We stopped here after our hiking adventure, as the sun was beginning to set.

Gotta love that rural life! Here's another photo that helps you appreciate the size of this field.

Outstanding in my field

Yes, it's an old line, but I think the title of this post really matches the photo. Besides, I am outstanding. And I'm in a field. Get it?

And quite a nice field at that. Alpha, when you are done with this photo-op, can we go for a run through the long grass?
