Snoozin' on the cool grass

It was pretty warm on this day.

But Alpha found me a nice spot in the shade, and as you can see, I took great advantage of it.

I had my little outdoor mat to sleep on, but I chose instead the nice cool grass.

You humans may have a different idea, but I think this must be Heaven (doesn't that look peaceful?)

Time to rest

Now we are back at the hotel, and it is time to rest.

I've got the blanket that Alli made for me.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

In the sun. On a nice warm towel on the grass.

Somebody's very tired

Ya see, I keep getting up -- every hour or so -- during the night.

And while Alpha *sometimes* helps out, it's mostly Mom that gets me water and lets me out to pee.

Three or four times each night. When she should be sleeping. ;-)


Of course that also means I'm tired too.

So just let me sleep when I can ... 'K?

Pffeeww, and I'm spent!

It was a tough Xmas morning, but someone had to do it.

Early wake-up, presents, waffle breakfast, and some Johnny Mathis in the background.

Looks like some folks had to crash (before noon mindya).

But not Alpha, nope. Always with the flash photography. Jeez


And lucky for you all.

Lickin' my chops

Sometimes, when I wake up from my nap, my mouth is kinda dry.

So I need to lick my chops and get all the juices flowin'

And then I usually make my parents give me a snack (hee, hee).

Hey, at least they're clean

You don't think I would plop myself on dirty clothes, now do you?

No way, Jose.


But give me some nice warm, clean clothes that Mom just folded?

I say get outta my way, I got some more snoozing to do!

Sir Sleepalot

I have an excuse for sleeping during the day ...

... and that's because I'm knighted. Get it? Sir Sleepalot?

Oh jeez, I crack myself up.

Comfy cave

Alpha gets up early, ya see.

OK, well, maybe it is a tad more accurate to say that I wake Alpha up early, and then he stays awake.

But not me.


Nope. I go right back to bed and snooze with Mom.

This time, I managed to find a comfy cave under the decorative pillow.

Doesn't that just look scrumptiously comfy? I mean, come on!

We've done a lot of hiking and walking, and it's getting to be time to head home.

But hey, no reason to jump out of bed, right? After all, we're on vacation.

So Mom and Alpha, can you please let sleeping dogs lie?

Let furry dogs lie

You know what they say ... let sleeping dogs lie.

And while that applies here, so does the title ... let furry dogs lie.

Beauty sleep

Shhhh, be verry, verrry, quiet. We don't want to wake up Mommy.

Alpha says she needs her beauty sleep. Oops. He said I wasn't supposed to tell you all that (hee, hee).

Sleeping

So here's how it goes:

I wake up Alpha at some ungodly hour in the morning, and make him feed me breakfast.

Then he has to stay up for the rest of the morning and work, while I get to go back to bed (hee, hee).

Here I am sleeping in Alpha's temporary office (aka Alli's bedroom).

So at least he gets to hear me puppy-snort in my sleep while he's slaving away (hee, hee)

Sounds like a good deal to me ;-)

Smushy face

Sometimes, after I've been sleeping on the sofa, I awaken with my "smushy face".

This is especially so after a recent bath, since my nice fluffy hair get compressed.

Now you know this happens to everyone -- just look in the mirror after you wake up in the morning.

But, in the immortal words of Will Smith (from Men in Black):

"You know the difference between you and me? I make this look good."

Hot-tubbing, my way

OK, so here's the deal.

Ya see, my parents often go hot-tubbing early in the morning. I get to go outside with them and run around like a maniac.

But when it's cold, I like to come inside before they are done. This makes Alpha get out of the hot tub, soaking wet, and let me into the basement (hee-hee).

And that's when I get to snuggle up in his nice warm bathrobe (hand made by Mom, thankyouverymuch).

And snooze. Yep, that's hot-tubbing, done my-way.

Peeking

Oh Alpha, what are you doing? Can't you see that I am sleeping? Put away the camera!

Oh, it's OK -- I know it is for my girl.
