What a church!

Check this out. We went on a mini-vacation and came across this church purely by accident. So of course, the 'rents had to check it out. Pretty impressive, don't you think.

It's a pilgrimage church, and amazingly, it didn't have its name on a sign anywhere. After researching a bit on the net, Alpha found that it is called Schönenbergkirche (or also Sanctuary of Our Lady). In any event, it was cool!

Sorry I've been late -- I haven't been feeling too well these past few days.

Turns out another bout of pancreatitis. And my parents swear I haven't been eating anything bad.

Dr. Essig says it might have come from some bacterial infection I had. But I'm definitely on the mend now!

Frozen tundra

This was a really cold day, with the wind howling over the frozen tundra.

But hey, I'm pretty furry (and have multiple layers on), so I can manage.

Just don't leave me out here ;-)

IBM Klub

This is for our neighbors back home, Ralph and Veronica. Ralph works at IBM.

Bath time again?

Well, as winter winds down, it's getting a little messy out there. So you know what that means ... yep, bath time!


OK, now that I'm clean, Alpha has to dry me off a little and do the buff -- his somewhat feeble attempt.


And then, of course, I have to do the real drying off myself. You've seen movies of how vigorous I am when I dry myself. But here is something you don't see everytime -- the ellusive "froggy legs". Woo hoo, aren't you lucky!

Hey Mom. This is a side trail, and there's nobody else on it. Can you let me off the leash please? It will also help make sure it doesn't get in the picture (hee, hee)

Frozen niblets?

Wow -- that makes me cold just looking at this photo.

Yep, after playing in the snow, I would surely have frozen niblets ... if I still had my niblets ;-).

Hi y'all. Alpha was slacking this morning. So some of you may have noticed I wasn't here first thing today.

Well, fortunately, Alpha redeemed himself. Oh, and actually, Mom is the photographer for this shaggy shot. And frankly, doncha think I'm worth the wait (hee, hee).

Cross-country skiing

We've had some snow this year in Böblingen, Germany. So Alpha decided to get out the cross country skis, and check it out.

For me, it's pretty much macht-nichts, since I'm walking either way (hee, hee -- threw a little German at you ;-) I just want to get outside!

Means I'm goin' back

Wow. Look at that haircut. Clearly a blast from the past.

This was at the bridge in Prague, Czech Republic.

Do you see the very shiny dog on that plaque. Alpha had me rub it with my paw (like thousands of other tourists).

That means (legend has it) that I'll be traveling back to Prague in the future.

Well, since it is my parents favorite city in Europe, I think that's probably true.

Rumor has it, Alpha my try his next marathon in Prague. We'll just have to wait and see.

And with the warmer weather, comes melting snow, which then freezes, and makes the trails rather icy and treacherous.

Luckily atleast I have 4-paw drive. Mom and Alpha have to walk in the snow off the edge of the trails.
