Did I mention it was cold?

I mean *really cold*. As in no sun cold, but still clear skies to let all the day's heat escape.

Ya see, we're on the north side of the trail. And ya see that trail marker in the foreground?

Well here is a close-up. It's been clear skies all day, yet take a look at those ice crystals.

Brrrr, makes me cold just looking at it. Hey, can I get a hot toddy when we get home?

Hey, now that's pretty clever John. Never even thought of that.

And just so you know -- when the thermometer has ice crystals on it -- (a) it is really cold and (b) don't come anywhere near me with that thing (hee, hee)

I'll try and send some of my sunshine and heat your way!

That sure does look cold. Wouldn't want to lick the marker with your tongue and get it stuck!

Yep -- if that happened, we'd have to find some warm liquid to get me unstuck. Hmmm, I could help, but I might need to be quite a contortionist (hee, hee)
